Our Work

Printing.com Plc Visit →

printing.com

Printing.com provide low-cost, full-colour printing through a network of dedicated and franchise partners throughout the UK, Ireland, France, New Zealand and Iceland.

Over the past 12 months, we have managed their web presence in each of those countries and completely redeveloping their consumer-facing websites, providing them with fully localised sites for France and Iceland.

We also develop and maintain their proprietary web-based software, Flyerlink Pro, on which Printing.com depend on for the effective operation of their business, facilitating centralised order fulfillment and management of print jobs and financial information throughout each of the territories they operate in.

In 2007, the system handled over £21M in sales.

My Conveyancing Visit →

My Conveyancing is an online conveyancing service which allows property owners and purchasers to get a quote for their conveyancing requirements and then carry out their conveyancing online.

The site features a bespoke content management system to allow full management of all client quotes, and the client-facing site itself.

We also developed a similar system for sister company Claim Winners, a forward-thinking personal injury specialist firm who are keen to distance themselves from the many "claims management" companies through a professional, transparent service and superior technology. We feel that the site we built, host and manage is testament to this.

In addition, we recently had the pleasure of providing law costs consultants Maxim with a simple but effective web presence for their costs-drafting service.

Code Golf Visit →

Code Golf allows programmers to show off their skills by solving coding problems using the shortest possible program. As well as being a fun way of demonstrating a programmer's skill, Code Golf is a great way to learn new languages and optimisation tricks.

Users are automatically scored based on how well they pass pre-defined tests and, of course, how short they are. They can follow their progress in an overall league table, as well as tables for each individual challenge and language.

Code Golf features both forums and an IRC channel for users to hang out and trade tips with each other. Visitors hanging out in the IRC channel will notice the integration with the site itself — Information about successful entries is posted by the resident Code Golf bot for everyone to see.

The Recycling Group Finder Visit →

We created the Recycling Group Finder because we thought it would be a great way of helping the Freecycle Network and its generous members. Specifically, we wanted to make it easy for people to find all the available recycling groups in a given area, relative to where they live.

The site takes full advantage of Google Maps to deliver an easy-to-use website to allow potential Freecycle and other recycling organisation members to find the right group for them.

NWRUG Visit →

We were delighted to have the opportunity to donate a site design to the recently formed North West Ruby User Group, based in Manchester, England.

It's no secret that we make extensive use of Ruby in nearly all our projects, so it was a perfect opportunity to give something back to the growing local Ruby community.

Top The Table Visit →

In 2006, we built Top The Table to indulge our love for the World Cup. The idea was simple — players predicted what they thought the outcome of each game was going to be and received points (or were deducted points!) depending on how accurate they were.

All players were pitted against each other in an overall league table, as well as being able to play against friends and colleagues in smaller or private leagues.

The site is currently being redeveloped for the upcoming 2008 European Championships, so sign-up to be notified of its launch!

Smallr Visit →

Smallr is a really simple service that does just one thing — shrinking long URLs — and does it fast.

You may frequently find yourself about to email (or even give out a web address on the phone), but find that it's just too long and cumbersome. Many email clients will break or wrap such links so they no longer reliably work for the recipient.

Smallr solves this by turning a long URL into a much, much shorter one — perfect for emailing.
